Electrical Engineer

Our client is looking for a dynamic, hands-on Electrical Engineer to work in a collaborative engineering and manufacturing environment in Philadelphia, PA. This position reports to the Engineering/Maintenance Manager. Primary responsibility is to complete general engineering assignments, and support and drive the team in continuous improvement efforts and new product launches. 


  • Manage electrical control equipment programs for new and existing machinery and systems, including cost estimation, justification, design, development, implementation, and validation
  • Solve technical problems and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives
  • Define project work breakdown structures to estimate project resource requirements and support the development of detailed project schedules
  • Apply standard engineering methods to assignments
  • Draft clean, concise, and accurate technical reports or documents
  • Consistently meet work deadlines producing high-quality results
  • Listen carefully to customers and seek to understand their needs

  • Demonstrate and promote safe work practices.


  • Expertise in manufacturing processes and electrical equipment such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), electro-mechanical controls, motor controllers, conveyance, etc.
  • Proven ability to conduct technical and electrical problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and quality testing and measurement techniques and procedures.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques and principles 
  • Knowledge of safety and ergonomic principles and regulations
  • Solid interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence attitudes and behaviors.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks, solve technical problems, and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Personal initiative; ability to follow projects through to completion.
  • Excellent writing, presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a customer-based perspective.


Education and experience required:

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline, preferably from an ABET-accredited college or university

3+ years of experience as Electrical Engineer

MS Degree may be substituted for up to 2 years of relevant experience.
